Lego Architecture

Created in conjunction with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Brickstructures, Inc. and the LEGO Architecture brand, the first two sets in the series are The Guggenheim and Fallingwater.

We're definitely checking for these.

The Dwight Way: Berkeley California

Stats:
Project Name: The Dwight Way
Architect: Leger and Wanaselja
Location: Berkeley, California

"The Dwight Way is a remodel and the addition of a new building on the same site to create a 9-unit, mixed-use, urban infill project in the heart of Berkeley. Built originally as a corner grocery store with apartments above and a large side yard, the location had become one of the noisiest and busiest in the city. By restoring the existing building and adding a new one in an environmentally sensitive way, the project transforms this site into a green showcase."

A House Grows in Brooklyn

STATS:
a 4,200 sq ft new construction between two existing townhomes
Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY
4 story townhouse on a 20'x80' lot
Architect: Christoff:Finio Architecture
The exterior walls of the adjoining buildings were creatively preserved by hanging floors between them. The ground floor and basement are dedicated to a jewelry workshop and a recording studio, and the living quarters begin on the second floor with a dining area, kitchen, and high-ceiling living room. The third floor is a loftlike reading room that overlooks the living and dining areas, and the fourth floor has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a laundry room.
Fabulous.
